Zeekr Key Covers

Zeekr X and 7X owners have three ways into the car: the Zeekr app on a phone, a key card swiped on the B-pillar, and a small square smart key. Reviewers of both cars point out that the smart key has no loop for a keyring, so every Alcantara cover here, for the two versions of the square key, the crystal key and the card, comes with a strap and carabiner clip.

Square key, power-door key, crystal key or card

Key What it looks like Seen on
Square Smart Key Small square with four buttons, one per corner: lock, unlock, boot and remote parking Zeekr X, 7X
Square Power Door Smart Key Same square shape, with extra buttons for the electric doors Zeekr cars with electric doors
Crystal Smart Key Slim, light leather-look key with a clear crystal panel between the lock and unlock buttons Zeekr 9X, 8X, 001 (2026)
Card Key Flat NFC card, swiped on the B-pillar Zeekr 001, X, 7X

Four buttons or more?

Count the buttons on your square key. Lock, unlock, boot and remote parking alone means the standard Square Smart Key. If it also has door buttons, choose the Power Door version. Not every Zeekr has electric doors: on the 7X, Zeekr lists four electric doors as an option on the Privilege AWD. If your key is not square but slim, with a clear crystal panel on its face, it is the Crystal Smart Key that comes with the 9X, the 8X and the 2026 Zeekr 001.

Phone keys and where the key lives

  • Zeekr offers two phone keys. Digital Key 1.0 works over Bluetooth through the Zeekr App on supported phones. Digital Key 3.0 sits in the iPhone wallet (iPhone XS or newer) and uses Ultra Wideband to lock, unlock and start the car hands-free.
  • In its 7X review, Drive found a small shelf for the key in the armrest bin and noted that you need a separate holder if you want to hang the key up.
