Maserati Key Covers

The Ghibli, Quattroporte and Levante share one four-button smart key with a tapered shield outline. Lock, unlock and boot are always on it; the fourth button depends on the market and equipment, and key suppliers list versions with remote start, lights or panic. Two covers in this collection are made for that key, in Alcantara or carbon fibre. The third is for Maserati's rectangular key with a chrome bezel.

For the shield key, pick by how you want it to feel. The Alcantara cover is a hand-stitched sleeve over the whole key, with the button symbols stamped on top. The carbon fibre one is a rigid two-part carbon shell that clips over the key, with the buttons left bare.

Flat battery, emergency key and the phone charger

  • A flat fob battery won't strand you. The Ghibli owner's manual says to press the nose of the fob, the end opposite the emergency key, against the START/STOP button to start the car.
  • The emergency key. Hold the latch on the back of the fob to the side and slide the metal key out towards the end. It opens the lock in the driver's door handle, and either side of it fits.
  • Keep the fob off the wireless charger. Maserati warns that a fob left in the phone-charging tray may stop the engine from starting.
